Because he's not man enough for the low freeboard and at the same time he knows jetboats are chick magnets. It's a lose lose for him.:D

I have had a Jet Boat for over 25 years so I have heard it all. It was more of a V-Drive vs. Pump deal back in the day. I would take a lot of heat from my V-Drive buddy's until one of our Outboard buddy's would show up, then we would all gang up on him. The best is when one of your V-Drive buddy's sells his V-Drive to buy a Jet Boat then you get to call him a Jet Boat Fag...

It used to be that jet boats were so slow there wasn't any reason to take the v-drive off the trailer. :D Those days are gone.:realitycheck: :)

Jet boat / v-drive guys typically work on their own or even build their own boats and are "gear heads" at heart. It's something that most guys that buy big turn-key boats with merc engines don't understand. There's just no feeling like flying down the river watching the hull flex with the loud roar of dry headers behind you! If I had to sell one of my boats, the cruiser would go 1st.

Big water school buses get the job done.

You've got to go to the 3:00 minute mark and watch the 41' Apache eating up the ocean, it's amazing.

They are modern marvels for running the coastal waterways, sleeping in, drug smuggling, offshore racing, etc. Many of us have had the good fortune to ride in and/or drive one even if we've never owned or never will own one.The only thing most of the ones I've seen do over the last 15 years is smuggling Michelob Ultras and Cialis from Thompson Bay to Steamboat and back, typically followed by a lengthy transom polishing session by some cling -on:nutswinger:

That video is awesome. I always wonder why the Apache didn't finish the race.

I agree! I've rode in few big offshore boats at the river. They're cool ass boats but a lil boring at the river. Too mellow of a ride IMO.

I agree and I think because most people view boating as a leisure activity it works for them. Way too boring for me.

Yea but then I also look at spinning wrenches in my garage with no one bothering me a leisure activity. lol

Good point on the cove and very true! :)
