Cool! I stayed last year. My buddy's sister rents me her 5th wheel for the weekend and I get a golf cart to use for runs to the Turtle through the golf course. :)

They actually had quite a few cancellations last year. What sucks about the Islander is they require you to pay for your full weekend in advance on holiday weekends (DS is considered a HW) and you don't get a refund and you can't transfer it to a friend. This is on Park Models only. I had this happen to me once.

I was just kidding! I've kept the same rates for the past 5 years and keep them down so that I can just rent to fellow boaters on the forums. Everybody that has rented from me in the past have been great!

When I went to the website there was no special pricing for DS. So I just went online and booked the condo just to see if the pricing would change. Well the pricing didn't change but you can see in the reservation confirmation that the rental manager has to approve the reservation. So I called Chris and he said that he has never charged extra for DS but this year he wants to charge more because he feels like he is missing out. Basically, what he said is that he would take $300 per night and would give someone a better deal if they booked the entire week.

The demand is up even over last year, with Boat Show then Desert Storm and following weekend Lucas Drags Boats. It wouldn't surprise me to see $300-$400 a night at KV.

I'm kinda luke warm about going as I had resigned to skipping DS this year, a ride in your boat would be a mind changer though.
