Out for a quick paddle today and as I see a guy waving me down in BFE I go over to help. Now we're both stuck. Fuck me!

Well I'm out after 1 1/2 hours of shoveling mud. Other guy might be spending the night. Ended up getting a third truck stuck trying to pull me out. Excuse me for not taking pictures but I was not a happy camper....I'm still bent because now I have to pressure wash my truck tomorrow. Any guess on what ended up pulling me out?

Or some tires....

Tires are fairly new Toyo M/T's. The mud is just super slick in that area and it packs the tread of the tires.

That *looks* like the kind of mud that only a tire like a Bogger does well in.

And who wants to drive a truck with Boggers on them? Great when you need them...the rest of the time it's just WAA WAA WAA WAA.

Just wonderful....after spending an hour hosing off mud I found that when the chain snapped yesterday it smashed my bumper. If anyone ever asked to get pulled out again my response will be fuck off.

That blows, doesn't look too bad though. I would just live with the scar. On a side note why are'nt you using a strap? Much safer, lighter, and easier to stow under seat.

I vote straps all the way. I've seen WAY too many incidents (both property/vehicle damage and personal injury) with chains to use them.

I don't carry straps or chains for this very reason. I was using what they had which was a chain and a strap. The strap snapped sending the chain into my truck.

Good thing that chain hitting the bumper didn't total the truck!
