Anyone interested in going to Lake Tahoe this summer? [Archive]

Specifically July 14th-21st for the Poker Run and Celebrity Golf Tournament? If you are even thinking about, this is the week to go! But in order to get a decent place in the Keys we need to look into booking a place(s) soon. I guarantee it is the nicest place you will have ever boated.

Just out of curiosity........what's the avg water temp at Tahoe during that time of year?

I'd say probably high 60's. Shallower areas get a little warmer. We swim in it in Emerald Bay and Sand Harbor.

Wish I could go! I've been to Tahoe twice during December...and all I can think about is getting my boat on that lake.

It is like no other place. You can be boating in 40' of water and see the bottom. The water goes from a Caribbean blue color in the shallow areas to a very dark blue in the deeper areas....deep as in over 1600' deep!

We took the little boat tour thing, so I've been on the lake. It's unbelievable how gorgeous it is (especially coming from West Texas lakes). But not with my own boat. That would be a blast!

One of my kids went to college at Sierra Nevada for 5 years. The whole time we threatened and tried to get the boat up there, but never did. Beautiful lake..
