K-711 making a comeback

I am proud to announce the return of K-711. We are teaming up with Pat Eason to make this a year to remember. Eason and Irick racing team will make our début at the Puddingstone race in Febuary. Pat's K-711 has been a proven boat. I will keep everyone updated with photos of the rebuild, start to finish. We are very excited to be teaming up with Pat and his boat. I will catch you during and after. I just need to figure out the dates of the race. gn7 said Mar 7-9 the 9th is when I run my first 1/2 marathon so it depends on how prepared I am.

We barrowed the mold from Dave Rankin to build the deck needed for the repair
We built and installed the deck at Jimmy La Riccas house/shop , not only did he bust his ass on this shit he paid for the materials
Then Al and Joe alcorn decided to do the body work and that's where the first base coat of blue got applied.
Then back to my house where the rest of the paint and madness has gone on.
Now thanks to the Irick clan I have been rigging and installing the past few weeks.

There is alot of crap going on inside that capsule.... might I offer a bit of wire rigging advice; truck pneumatic brake lines (plastic tubing) works real good for 'conduit' that flexes and bends easily around corners and keeps everything together in one tube. It comes in many larger sizes from 1/2" up to 1.5"....

and its water proof too!!!! :thumb:

Nope, not at all. It was controlled and training for a good reason. Chris is a natural... But he won't ever need to use this training :) he did it three times.. First was just get out fast, second was count to ten take off the steering wheel then get out, then the third time all with his eyes closed. He did great!

Wow, I'm glad he can do that... I don't mind the water one bit, i LOVE it BUT that is taking it to an extreme for me... Kudos to him...

Im also mildly claustrophobic so nothing about the capsule appeals to me... Im not trying to sound negative in any way, kudos to Chris/Steve/Tony/Rank Daddy and all of the guys that can do the capsule thing and the training... :thumb:
