you need to look at a remailer..for austraila i sell a lot of parts and shipping isn't much more than state side thru a remailer takes a while but price is right , feds is the most expensive way to send any thing followed by UPs than USPS

It's some billet deal with a stainless element, my dad has run the same filter on his blown cruiser for years and has never had any issues

Its a Professional Products Stainless Steel Mesh filter.
Any number of things 3.5" or 4.25" filter instead of the 4.5"
10 micron element instead of the 45 micron
Heavy straight weight oil on a cool Parker morning fire off and no bypass in the filter or block
All of the above.

When that happens, it happens in less than a blink of the eye. Like a pin on a balloon
Zero pressure in the block(and inside the filter element) in rush of molasses thick oil on the outside of the element trying to get thru the filter. The filter is designed to flow oil thru the element with about 8lbs difference between the pressure coming in, and the pressure in the block.
Make that pressure 100lbs and zero, and this can be the result.
The easier it is for the oil to pass thru the filter, lighter oil or larger micron, the less likely this happens.

ANY filter can do it. Cold morning, molasses in the oil pan, no bypass, and jiggy with the throttle is all it takes.
A blown alky deal starting off a squirt bottle can be hard to control the starting Rs. .001 second is all it takes.403654036640367

Time for some fun!! Only 4 more days!! I'm trying to get off early Friday so we can make registration and everything, but if not... I might not make it.. Chris wants to get out of here early... Right now I'm scheduled 5-2 but we need to get out of here sooner than that!

I know everyone has been waiting for an update from the race... So here we go. We drove in Friday night, showed up to Panama Joe's and parked the boat out front. We all did some mingling and talking and had some great food and drinks (thank you Nick Rose Insurance)! We fired the boat off right at dusk and were planning to doit again after the sun went down to really show off some flames, however, the cops showed up and apparently had noise complaints from over 10 blocks away. I guess it's a good thing we don't live in the city. So, Saturday morning started with test and tune, where we had to make some minor adjustments. First round was ended buy the spin out (pictures to follow curtesy of Robert Gluckman). The spinout was followed by a 4th place and having to replace the mag. Back at it on Sunday morning, with some help from Gorddy Jennings, made some huge changes to the driving and plate set up, and had an amazing test! So, first round Sunday was looking great! Until the MSD box failed.. Joe replaced that as soon as we got off the water and we were ready to go out and race a great race in the final. Chris had a great start in that final heat, however due to lost air to the gear box, the boat came out of gear and that was the end. So, it was a great weekend of getting rid of little bugs, and the boat is ready to rock at the next race!! It should only get better from here with your support and the support from our sponsors!! I realized after I started the way I should have done it, to make it look pretty, but it's not a big deal this time, has a cover over it. When I wire dashes, they look way nicer, this is the first time I've done something like this.

Yeah, you're correct.. Had to change it out.. If I remember correctly, the first one was putting out to much. You better ask him, I don't know squat when it comes to hydraulics, time to learn though.
