Help! My Nike app says this

But the treadmill says I ran 2.5 in 11:37 average mile...

How do I reconcile the two different numbers?

That's like telling a NFL kicker/QB not to track his yards ;)

I'm training for a half marathon...I need to keep track of my miles so when it comes time to running 13.2 miles I'm prepared. If I think I'm running 10 miles and I'm running 8...come game day, I'm going to be one unhappy runner. :D
