On this day 238 yrs ago in 1775 in a small bar called Tun Tavern in Philadelphia Pennsylvania the United States Marine Corps was born. The Marines have been a part of every US involved battle since inception. Unarguably the baddest force the US has in its arsenal. I am proud to be part of this organization and proud to call myself a MARINE. Semper Fi fellow Marines and happy birthday.

I have a cousin that served in the early '70s (MP for Nixon's San Clemente place) and a good friend that retired as a Lt Col. and former base commander are Tustin Air base.
I have a lot of respect.
