It's a little dirty right now but it's a Mercury Maximus 34p 5 blade with half the prop shaft and hub still in it. Other than the dirt it's in great shape. Found it in about the same spot as the flare.

Problem is I'm almost 3 miles from where I launched. I hope it makes the ride back.

You should consider bungy cording a milk crate to the front of your board for all the stuff you find out there.

A friend mine has lost two props that way and both times it had the TCM shafts in it. The last one that snaped was last weekend at Manster Bash.:grumble

It turns out I know who's prop it is. There's not many boats around here that run 34p 5 blade props. I'll be giving it back to him. He's a happy camper.

I guess I won't be shipping the wine up then...oh well...Have you looked into getting your GradsSuxs bumper stickers made yet?

So what boat was it propelling?

It was on a 35' Formula with twin built up 575's. Prop shaft snapped in half.

Grads, you are a stand up guy on a stand up paddle board. I am sure your friend will be very grateful.

Does your lake always get this low in the fall? You're a real scavenger...

The lake does not usually get this low, that's why I've been out looking for stuff. This time of year its usually a good 40-50' higher. It is on track to be the lowest I've seen in 30+ years. And thanks for the complement....it could be the first one I've ever received on a boating forum. :)

You know that's just not true Grads.......you add a lot of great boating content as well as other fun things to this site, as well as others I've been on with you in the past.......you just have a propensity to add "Other things" from time to time as well........but those of us who have been around you understand that it's just your "Unique" sense of humor :thumb:

Pick me. Pick me. I know what boat that is. In fact I have a picture of that boat that would have been great, but Mrs RogerThat got her hip in the way...and I can't crop it out. LOL. It was taken the same day that Napanutt dropped his wife's phone in the drink.

Is yours a 35'? I couldn't tell by the picture. The one that this prop came off of is a 100 m.p.h. boat.

Yea, mine is a 353 fastech, but it only goes 75mph on it's best day, but the driver can drink a lot of beer when he gets off the water.

And I bet you're not breaking prop shafts every summer. Very nice boat BTW.:thumb:

I've lost one or two over the years, but never broken any, I've always had stock merc stuff, that way I felt pretty safe that every time I went out to the boat with the keys I know it would start, I've had to many friends who worked on their boats more than they used them, not me, I'll give up some speed so I can go boating all the time, I just had my 502s freshened up about 60 hours ago, but we put a lot of hours on the boat down here.

Thanks, it's tough to keep a all white boat clean.

Good as new! Not bad for spending two years at the bottom of the lake. The odds of me finding this while not even looking for it and returning it to the rightful owner are staggering. Folsom is a big lake.
