I hate flat tires!!!! [Archive]

I've had the worst luck with tires. Wife called and said the kids missed dance due to this one. This is the second flat in 20,000 miles and my car has had two flats in the same amount of miles which happens a lot faster than her vehicle.

If I didn't have bad luck.......

Wife drove about ten feet down the driveway. My girls chalked up the driveway with flowers and rainbows and other colorful drawings this weekend. Unfortunately the sides were being driven on. I keep my cars clean. ;)

Guess I'll be late to the office tomorrow.

My wife can't put the gas cap on right after the one or two times every 4 or 5 years she has to refuel the car. ;)

Been to Discount about 10-12 times in the last month, including today. Guess wifes car picked up 2 nails on the way to vegas last week. I refilled it twice in 4 days and drove it home(slow leak). brand new tires too dammit:grumble

Has been a year of tires for me, new sets on F350, 5th wheel toybox and wife's car. My car is due but I'm gonna stretch it a bit plus my fugging flat bed trailer needs new tires too.

I had to watch this place. A lot more money to patch a tire than my other place but my mom needed her car to go to work so I just went around the corner. They try to charge my dad for something they didn’t do back in the day so I knew to watch. It was more expensive because they were going to mount and balance. I asked them why they wouldn’t just mark the stem. Probably because they wanted more money. Well lo and behold the guy didn’t re-balance the tire. So I made them take the money off.

Sucks trying to be scammed

Neighbor's remodel caused me a flat last week
1/4-28 Philips screw an inch long straight thru the tread
:(
Put spare on early morning and plugged it when I got home
Wish I would have knew what was happening, could have plugged it on the truck easier, but didn't check while hurrying to get out the door to work in the dark

I’m soooo paranoid about picking up screws and nails...

My shop is going to have a tire changer and balancer so I can deal with leaks properly.

Hav you noticed at car washes where truck beds get washed out along with screws/nails? It’s pretty common around here to find a car wash bay with for or six or eight drywall screws or nails laying around. It’s enough risk that I just pay for a drive through touchless wash rather than deal with ruining a good tire...
