Here's some pics of the Party Cove at LOTO, thanks to the Water Patrol it's not quite this fun and crazy anymore, we went almost every Saturday, it's worth checking out if you're ever up for a road trip.
On the big three holiday weekends there would be a couple of thousand boats all tied up together. :schreck:
In your boat if you went into the PC it would take over two hours to get out, loved that place.

Hotboat you've been to LOTO so you've gotten a small taste of the Lake, but like you said you need sometime off to really get around and check things out, it's a hidden gem.

The flyover of the "raft-up" at LOTO was by far the largest I've ever seen. Great pictures

I'd say LOTO knows how to have a good time. Someday...

Probably 18hrs or so.

So in PR terms, it takes 3.60 5hr energy drinks.

If you drive straight you may have to factor them a little for evaporation and fluid loss, so more like 12-15 might be about right :D

In the Summer or during and especially during the Shootout there's no lack of stuff to do or see, it's eek long event, so if you're lucky enough to go, try and get there by Wednesday morning, that's when the festivities start and they go all weekend until Sunday night, there's a bar/restaurant about every 3-5 miles on the Lake, it's hard not to have a great time.

Then to Dog Days, Big Dicks, Bear Bottoms, The Fish, Larry's on the Lake, Shorty Pants and then the Party Cove, no shortage of bars, that's for sure.

Lol, now that could make for a long bar crawl. Do they have any water taxis there?

No, unfortunately not, we usually try a take turns being the DD, then that solves the problem.

I knew I would forget a few bars, I'm sure there's even more than that, Bulldogs, Paradise, to many to name them all, you've just got to go and experience it.

We cruised the Paradise dock area, does that count? :D I've heard Camden and HToads are hot spots too. Definitely going to do more boating next year!!

Sorry Joey but these guys just opened this year I think, you may have not known about them: http://lakeozarkswatertaxi.com/

Also, there are many captains for hire to drive your boat for the day/night.
If you guys come out here to hillbilly country (lol), let me know and I will do everything I can to hook you up!
Just don't tell everyone about our little pond in Missouri, otherwise we will be invaded by all those California people!! Lol

Lol, your "little" pond out there makes every fresh body of water we have out here look like a puddle!

Actually that's not a bad idea, there's a guy I know that does it every Summer, he stays for three weeks, but he buys a boat for 7-8K, uses it for the the time he's at LOTO then has a broker sell it for him, it works out great.

It takes me two days with boat in tow. If no boat in tow you could almost drive it non-stop [brutal]. People think it is easy to haul your boat and equipment 1,800 miles it is not. Plus, have all your lodging set and figure out launching and docking your boat. People in the mid-west do not launch and retrieve everyday like we do out west. They launch and dock it for the duration.

I've got to hire a photographer next year. I'm not getting stuck manning a camera 8-9hrs a day, I'm going to Coconuts :D

The pool and drinks at Coconuts are awesome one of the nicest bars to hang out for the day. Even more so if it is hella hot. We went by boat and it was sooo worth it.

LOTO is fun when your not in business mode. In 2014, the family wants to go...but no Shootouts just cruise around and have fun. Doing camera duty all day is not fun...on the flip side you do meet a lot of people working.
