So since I am Part German, I make it a point to go to an Oktoberfest once a year.
This year we are going to The Phoenix Club in Anaheim.
http://www.thephoenixclub.com/

Went to Big Bear a few years ago and they had a really good one as well.
Its a great way to get great German food as well as Good beer.

Does anyone else go to an Oktoberfest and if so, which one?

I've been to the one in HB not sure the name, but many years ago. My aunt & uncle have been to the one at Mt. Baldy two years in a row, said it was a blast. Straight up Euclid.

I went last year to the Phoenix club for the first time and had a great time. Looked online and it is open this year.
Used to go to the one in Alpine Village in Torrance but it got way to violent for us. Too many fights! Phoenix club is nice.

Went to an Ocktoberfest thing in Big Bear years ago. It was a lot of fun....beer stein holding contests, beer drinking contests, chicken dance, etc.! Although I live in HB, never been to Old World Village.

I'm 100% Kraut. PhoenixClub is a great OktoberFest venue:thumbup::thumbup:
.
My dad was the founding Father of The Phoenix Club.....originally located where the current Duck Pond was built(Eminate Domain moved them east) The original meetings/gatherings were at our home in Buena Park. Dad even started this German club in Canada before he moved to Ca.

3 years ago was the last time I was at Alpine for Oktoberfest....Seriously can get scary on a fri/sat night. Not counting the 100's of cops as soon as you pull out. Def have a DD when leaving that place.
I still go to the Restaurant for lunch and the Deli for my German lunch meats and cheeses.

Thats really cool about the Phoenix club Ziggy. I have not checked it out outside of Oktoberfest but def will make it a point to.

I live in flip flops except for when I am at the gym or at a construction site. I bought a pair of the "tretchen shoes" to go with my "Lederhosen" that I tolerate wearing for a couple hours. lol

The "Real" Oktoberfest in Munich Germany last October. If you ever have the opportunity to get over there, Oktoberfest is a must! The size of the venue, beer tents and the massive amount of fellow beer drinkers is off the chart. Definitely a good time drinking beers, partying and watching people drink until they pass out. Those German's can drink, let me tell ya! :beer

Trundel dress is sexy as hell. Joey has a good pic of 'em too:thumbup::thumbup:
.
Did they still have a 5 loop rollercoaster there? Wife and I were there in '96, she went on it after multiple litres. That is when she found out she loved Hef because she made it through the whole ride without loosing it.:D:p:D

Great pics!
With my Grandma being from Germany, I want to get over there so bad to check it out.
From what I understand, correct me if I am wrong, the "real" Oktoberfest only lasts around 2 weeks or so. It is not a whole month like it is out here.
I have watch some youtube videos on it and it looks amazing!!!

They have a nice one here in Utah up at Snowbird Ski Resort. It's pretty big for Utah, being that the theocracy looks down on alcohol. We go every year. Of course, they have to import the entertainment.

We're in Anaheim at the Phoenix club. Good times

Off the 57fwy, take Ball St. exit and go east towards Orange. The first St is "S. Phoenix Club Dr" turn right and it's on the left about 1/4 mile.
We love this place, my kids love watching people dance and sing, most of the time Comical, great Food & Beer :action-smiley-035:
