Well I had planned for one last Havasu Trip this year, but had a Lil family emergency and can't go this weekend. With the weather cooling down, I guess I'm done for the year. Anyone else have more trips planned?

Here's the start to a long winter! :(

Hey Dennis, Oct is arguably the best month for Havasu, you should try it bf you put boat away.

We've boated Thanksgiving weekend, around Christmas, January and sometimes in February. Feb & early March are usually pretty tough. But we're not done by any means :D

I plan on getting out there sometime in the winter for a weekend of boating in sweaters just to get out of town. Does the water in Havasu stay warm til end of Oct? I've tried boating in Needles last year at this time and the water was fucking freezing. I think I almost ran over a polar bear out for a swim!

I just put $900 into my boat this month. I sure would like to use it one last time before it's too cold lol.

End of Summer, but not boating. The winter season is just starting, I'm leaving Sat. for a week in Parker and going back on Thanksgiving. The boat gets new upholstery after that. Then out whenever we need to get away till the summer hits again

Wake up in the morning, go riding out to the desert bar for a few cold ones. On the way back, stop and pop some rounds off. Then cruise back to the house, toss the boat in the water and head to Fox's. Then head over to Willows at the casino and get a killer steak dinner with a shrimp cocktail....Yea.. fall, winter, spring does not suck

My buddy just called me and is trying to convince me to just roll out and ride on his boat. I guess it's DCB regatta weekend?

Unless I absolutely have to and there's no bathroom with a few hours plans I won't prop check anyway. So October-May is great boating time bc I'm not sweating and gross from the heat.

The coldest my body has ever felt was on new years in Parker 3 years ago. My cousin and I were comin back from the Casino at 4am on my boat. We each had jackets, sweaters, and blankets. My nose was running and formed the snot froze to my face.

It never gets to cold to go boating in Havasu, just to windy! Yeah the water cools off to the low 50's, not a big deal we just drink on shore. The Boating season never ends here in Havasu!

Hopefully next weekend and then at least one more before we wrap it up for the season. Last year I was out the first weekend of November and it was still very nice!

I would opine that the single best month of the year to boat on Havasu can and usually is October.

The weather is typically still in the 90's (no need for a bimini), the water is still in the high 70's and all the "tourists/Raider fans have called it quits for the season so there are very few people on the water but still enough people to have some fun at Steamboat or in the channel. Every year is a little different but sometimes you can take this all the way into the first few weeks of November....some years you can't. You can pretty much peg the water temperature in the lake by the recent overnight temperature......the lake temps tend to mirror the overnight lows........not true for the river but true for the lake. Give October a try......you will likely love it!! :thumb:

PS.....as far as I'm concerned the water is ALWAYS fucking freezing up in Needles :D
