I think that exceeded the db limit at LOTO, I see why he had ear muffs on.

I'm watching on phone, can't tell if that's his setup or it was an accident. Maybe one of the V-Drive guys can answer.
Some outboard guys set theirs up to start in gear to save the gears.

Pretty sure he wasn't paying attention and it was left in gear. Rookie mistake! I made sure to check ours before starting.

Many v-drives can't be put in gear without shutting the motor down. You will see guys warm up the boat, shut it off, put it in gear and start the boat to take off. Many put it in gear before they even start it. He must have left it in gear.

RIP Buddy!!

For some reason I can't find your post sending your condolences to Church Mouse. Yesterday William was looking at some photos taken from his memorial over on Performance and it hit me that I had met him at the Long Beach Races. He was the nicest guy and bought a few shirts from us. He mentioned how he always buys boating shirts at every event he attends. Any way come to find out he knows my Nana Katie who also lives in Bass Lake. He was very gracious and kind. So I just wanted to say I was glad to have met him.
