There's a reason Microsoft's stock went up a couple of weeks ago when Steve Balmer (CEO) announced he's retiring in a year.......sooner might be better but then again; "The Devil you know vs. the Devil you don't" :D

I have it on my computer now and there is definitely a learning curve. From what I can see the software was built more so for a touch screen tablet than a PC. It definitely sucks! I knew it was going to so when I bought it I purchased the cheapest laptop I could find ($299) knowing that I was probably going to shit can it and switch to Mac.

My new Sony is touch screen. But If you move the cursor around, shit disappears and i'm playing hell trying to find it. Damn laptop doesn't even have a cat 5 cable plug. Arrrggghhhhh.

I've got the same junk, windows 8, touchscreen the whole bit, it sucks, but it's getting better the more I use, it, I would still love to have my old computer back that ain't happening, bummer.

Can you believe that layout is called Metro?

Well they took my money, but no serial # yet. But it's only been 1/2hr or so. lol

I looked at it and left. Not sure that it is real. HB, never ever hit the donate button again. Think you got hosed. I never donate to these guys as I never know if 1. It's real, 2. It is what I am looking for, 3. That I wont delete it 30 seconds after seeing it. and 4. It's just a scam. That said, the download said nothing about w8 in it. everything else, just nothing on w8...the search goes on....


Edit: Also note that the word is that MS is going to be putting out a major overhaul this fall on W8.....I think I will wait to see if that comes true...

It actually does work. But you have to pay to get the serial # to get rid of the pop-up. Much nicer. Hopefully they send the serial before I call my credit card company :D

If you need a new laptop...

Go to Wal-Mart online. You can still order Acer's with Win7 on them. I just did this for a friend a few weeks ago. No complaints from her!

They also said it would take two weeks. It showed up at her house in about three days.
