View Full Version : If you could have any boat you wanted, but only one boat.

What would it be and why? Taking in to consideration nothing else in your life changed. Same river or lake place, trailer, moho, whatever. Same tow truck. Same garage. Same parking situation. Absolutely nothing else changes, except that one single boat. Imagine someone telling you, you can have any boat you want, but you can only have 1 boat and nothing else changes. Nothing. Hell, even I'm gonna have to think about this one for awhile.

I'm leaning toward a 26' RPM with 1000-1200HP or maybe a 1350 w/M8. Nothing larger will fit in my garage. And my Raptor wouldn't tow anything much larger anyway. But I'm still thinking.

I'm going to keep it out of the Yacht realm and go with an Outerlimitas SV52. Sure I've always said a 40 would be good enough but I'm gonna step up my game for this thread.

It has to fit in your existing box and you have to tow it with your existing rig.

Damn rules. If I slip my Sunseeker then I'm good, right?

I can tow the OL with my 2500HD I think. I guess I'll have to step down to the SV40 :(

I need to come back to this thread in a couple weeks. I think a 28 Howard might fit. But I need to measure my garage. :D

Realistically, I would probably like to have a 30' Daytona with Merc 700's and NXT drives. Not too big, not too small with decent and reliable power.

I'm so predictable.................a Mercedes Benz 50 AMG Cigarette (52'7") with T/1350s, perfect boat for any big water.

28 Speedster?? Full windshield no canopies? Eliminator had the blue/grey 28 a few years back, 700s/nxts, 140mph all day long.;)

Don't get me wrong I love the 30 Daytona too!!!!

My current tow, the BCHDWHL (F650)?:wink_002:

Actually I think it would have to be a Nordic 21SR w/ a 1350 (maybe a Brummet turbo'd setup) and #6. The ride of that boat is amazing, it hauls ass, and only seats 2 people.

F30 with 2 300X's if I could find a pair in boxes. If not 2 300XS's.

I have enough truck for the 32 nuera ive always wanted but ur stupid current box rule will keep me in what I have already. I would not go down in footage or free board. My dream boat would be a 45' + OL v bottom and id totally go turbines. I dont think thats been done yet.

Yup. Simple equation. All your existing junk, minus boat, remains unchanged. This is the problem I have. 1/2 ton truck and 35' garage. Oh, and I boat Parker 98% of the time. So as much as I would love to have a 50' Mystic with twin T55 whispering turbines, that ain't gonna happen in Parker :D

For where my house is (LOTO), and I keep my boats off site but on a lift on my dock so my choice would be.....

A 48 MTI ! Shocking,right?

Not sure of the power, depends on what Mercury has available at the time. Right now, 1350's w/ #8 drives is the package.

Yep. Badass but requires 112 octane. Kind of a pain to haul fuel. Also with the larger turbos the low end acceleration is actually not quite as good as the 1350's. Yet.

They forgot to tell me its a 112 motor. Yeah, fuel barge in tow will slow you down a little.

I'm pretty sure a 28' Speedster will fit in my garage. Since it has the full windshield and I'm pretty sure they can stuff a 1350 in it, I'm gonna go with that boat. Still small enough to tow with a 1/2 ton. Still not too big for Parker and its big enough for the occasional trip to Havi or other surrounding lakes. So now all I have to do is save up, what, $250-300K and it'll be mine :D

Well, 1/2 ton truck and a 30' deep storage, I guess that means I would have to go with a 250 eagle with a swing away tongue. Power I am open to most any options, especially injected tt.

This is a tough one......

Realisticly I think the DCB would be my dream parker/Havasu boat but I think it would be a bad decision for the family.

M29
twin 700's/nxt

The smart/safe choice would be the Howard . It would work alot better for the family but still be a fun boat to drive. Can I have 2 keys made one for me and a 400hp version for my dad:D

Anyone see the 38' MTI "Project Mayhem" at DS 2013. That is absolutely the perfect boat... Merc 1100s.

Eli, your choice has perfect colors except the blue needs to be purple... Then it would match the colors of my 27' Daytona.

As much as I'd want something huge, fast and crazy... Ya know something I could launch in Newport and head to San Diego... I'd probably just keep it somewhat practical that didn't require a shit ton of maintenance or a cleaning crew at the end of each day.

I really love a DCB 28 Extreme or a Eliminator 280 Eagle with a Merc 600.
