Question about tapatalk on HB.??

On "other sites" tapatalk alerts me if member quotes my post, they way I can reply back if I wish too!:)

But here on HB I'm not getting those alerts? Is anyone else not getting them as well? ;) Maybe I need to reinstall it?

Btw, if anyone has replied to a post of mine and I didn't respond I'm sorry, I just wasn't aware that you commented on something I said!!;)

It should be the same. Maybe a setting deal. Are you saying you get a alert on your phone or a email notification?

Oops, sorry I forgot to follow up with you. Yea, if I post on rdp and a member quotes my reply, "tapatalk" alerts my iPhone. It's like a text message tone, and allows you to reply back. Not a big deal, I'm just suprised it doesn't do that on HB. Maybe I need an iphone5s upgrade...:D

Yeah it should send an alert on your phone but it doesn't seem to be working.

I posted this same problem a while back.. tried everything including re-loading tapatalk. everything is set right near as I can tell, but HB just does not send Push Notifications..

I did notice that Tapatalk for RDP has a menu that says "Notifications". HB does not.

Mine is set to this and I get no notifications. Same setting as the other place and I got notifications.

Typically when tapatalk doesn't work right on a forum it's because the board software is not up to date.

You are correct about the board software not being up to date. VB is on version 5. We have not installed it because we're hearing of major issues. So rather than put everyone through HB hell, we're choosing to wait till they work out the bugs. But I doubt if that has anything to do with push notifications. But I've been wrong many times before :D

Admin is working on the notification issue. Apparently there is a newer version of Tapatalk we need to install. Hopefully this will be fixed shortly. As far as the like button, it can be done. But to be honest, I'm not sure I want it. If you like what someone posted, why not just say you like it in a post?? I'm still mulling it over, but leaning toward no. We're trying to do something a little different here, so I'm not sure we want to imitate other sites.
