This is about as close as you can get without going in it. The guards in the towers are watching you when you get this close....any closer and you are going to be in big trouble. You can see the prison wall, towers and fencing in the first couple pics.

This rock is called "Big Tit" and is very popular with kids as you can see them up at the top. Funny thing was only the girls were jumping off it today it seemed the guys were a little afraid. BTW, I jumped off it quite a few times....25 years ago ;)

A couple of the bridges on the way up...

Cool pics. What's the distance? Seems like too much excercise to me!

It was probably about a 4 mile paddle.

I wish I was closer to a body of water. I think an SUP would be great exercise. I'd love to try it:thumb: Cool pics too

Dahm, cool, is that place still open....you've got more energy than me, if I can't put a key in it, I probably won't be operating it, sounds like fun though.

It is great exercise! It gets me out on the water and is a lot cheaper and easier than dragging the boat out. Beers taste the same. ;)

Any hassle drinking and paddle boarding?
Do you keep you phone or camera in a dry case?

Most the places I go you are allowed to drink on the water so no I haven't been hassled. I bring an ice chest and I've been putting my phone inside a ziplock bag but I really do need to get a water proof case for it. Any suggestions on one for the iphone?

Grads, something like this I always go to Amazon. I checked, they have a pretty good selection of waterproof cases. If your an Amazon prime member, a lot of them have free 2 day shipping.

My friend has the Life case for his iPhone 4s. He likes it. The only thing I dont like about it is that it is kinda bulky.
Here is the link

Hey Jerry, I've tried that before and liked it. Again it's being somewhere close to use it on a reg basis:jumping-smiley-019:

Took the motor home down in the morning, got a camp site turned on the ac made sure the beer was on ice. Went back to blue water lagoon met the wife and the boards. Took a lot of water because it was about 115 out. 4 1/2 hours later got to lost lake, beer , barbecue and a cold motor home . Fun

You're in better shape than me, no way I'm paddling 18 miles in 115 degree heat! :yikes:
