North of the bridge last on the mainland side is kingsview condos. South of bridge on the mainland side is london bridge resort. On the island side south of the bridge is the heat and north of the bridge is private condos that the name slips my mind right now.

I used to love staying at the Kingsview until they started ticketing boats for overnight parking on the weekends. After two tickets and 300.00 later I said no more, and with no launch ramp it makes it a real PITA too.

Pretty cool staying in the channel but I’ll take a cove suite at the Nautical over Kingsview anytime.

Such a great spot in the channel, and waking up in the morning overlooking the water is awesome, but I agree with you about the ramp and tickets. Also, the parking lot is small, and no boat parking. As nice as the views are, I think I'd rather stay at the islander, in a park model and use their private launch ramp.

So you can not leave your boat beached at Kingsview? I thought that was private property. :(

Since when cant the people leave their boats on the private kings view beach? Mark ur the first person ive ever heard of getting cited for overnight parking. My cousin stays there all the time without incident. Crazy.

Another good choice.

I think the reason I like the Nautical so much now is that they have the reserved boat parking in the cove. I know the 50.00 a night kind of sucks but at the end of the day when you pull into that cove and your spot is open and waiting for you it's worth every penny.

With the restaurant, two bars, new pool and store it makes things very easy too, and I like easy when I’m on vacation.

Last I heard they were still writing tickets on the weekends, not every weekend but kind of a hit and miss and I was hit twice. I know the owners of the condos were fighting it but I’m pretty sure nothing has changed and the no overnight parking signs are still on the beach.

Things may have changed Andrew but I was told that it's still hit and miss. I know guys that have stayed there with no ticket and others that have received one.

I stopped staying there because it wasn't worth taking the chance anymore.

Honestly, I didn't even know they had reserved parking, that is really really nice! You can't beat that cove, great sand, no rocks, and pulling into your own spot is the way too go, very nice!! It really makes it easy when taking a boat ride, or taking a morning cruise to the springs for breakfast and when you come back your spot is still open... That new pool is awesome too.

When the older condos were built there were no restrictions but after that beach was deemed private the beachon the other side of the channel was deemed to be a public beach well before the Kingsview was built and part of getting permission to build was that the beach in front remain public. :badidea:

It is hit or miss as stated before, first ticket is $250. It is a public beach. I call it tent city with all the ez-ups there, people who rent condo's there think they own the beach,,,not. Sometimes I pull in to see some friends and get yelled at saying "your in my spot" well I'm tired of that shit,,,it's a public beach! Across the from Kings View is the Isles, private beach, also to rent there is a minimum of one month rentals. Normally they ticket at KV 2-4 times a year but you never know. I have had several friends get ticketed there. KV tried to to a deal with the city but the city said it belongs to BLM to the full pool mark, 450', but city still does ticket there on and off. A friend of mine has not gotten ticketed there since he registered his boat with Coast Guard, no reg. numbers on side of boat and the city cannot board his boat without his permission, where as others are being ticketed except his.

They seem to ticket on holiday weekends.
For DS, they seem to forget about that law.

We stayed at KV the weekend of 8/14/13 and got a ticket the first night. They boarded our boat at 2:30 am according to the time shown on the ticket. My wife paid the ticket and it was 275.00. They gave tickets just about every night that weekend from Thursday to Sunday. The story floating around the beach that weekend was that the KV and Isle Condos are complaining to the City about the new Indian Casino boat making to much of a wake when going through the channel and this is washing the beach sand away thus damaging the beaches in front of the condos. The Indians are now complaining that the boats parked overnight are a safety hazard when they come in the channel at night and they are putting pressure on the City to in force the no Parking restriction. Not sure if this is true, but is sounds good. Now when we stay at KV we just reserve a slip at the marina or at the London Bridge Hotel and I ride my Razor Scooter back in forth each day and night to the slip. This works for us when we cannot get a spot at the Nautical.

We talked about that yesterday when going by, what A-holes thinking they own it, even better on the way back through in the late afternoon to Windsor, there were people using their chairs and shade, it was clear they weren't staying there. The city should just pickup their shit and throw it away, and charge the association that might stop that crap.
