My heart goes out to the family. This kid went to college up here and was apparently headed home. They think they possibly found the body near Lake Castaic where they've been searching since Friday. Heartbreaking.

Very sad I heard on the news that he had depression so it may have been suicide. RIP and condolences to his family!

I don't know, they said on the news this morning that they found a body BURNING. Sounds to me like foul play but that's just from the information I heard.

I don't know, they said on the news this morning that they found a body BURNING. Sounds to me like foul play but that's just from the information I heard.

Thats what I was thinking....Something possibly happened while he was pulled over sleeping. Regardless, sad outcome.

I don't think he was pulled over sleeping either because his SUV was overturned. Maybe someone was chasing him and when he flipped the vehicle, he was either pulled out by the person chasing him or was running away and was caught by them.

Pics on the news this morning showed his SUV trashed. I'm thinking you are right.....that's insanity to "burn" a body.

So it turns out not to be his body that was burned, which is great news.

I heard a blip on the news that there was a sighting of the missing kid in Valencia.
This story is far from over I think.

In the movie "Into the Wild" it's about a kid his age that decides to disconnect from society and wrecks his car and leaves all his money and belongings behind to travel the country and eventually ends up in Alaska to try and live off the land. Great movie that was a true story. This could be an Into the Wild situation.

The documentary "Call of the Wild" was even more intense because it was shot at the site, with the bus still at the site. Crazy ass story for sure.

Is there a recent update? or just the fact they haven't found anything yet The authorities, and parents called off searches a few days ago. The parents are hoping he has amnesia.

Parents have called off the search because they think he is out there and might be too embarrassed to surface because all of the media attention.
