My Pyle, 1999 Liberator Daytona, 515 blown BBC Berkely JC/JG combo w/ Place diverter. This was/is my dream boat. Solid 52.265 mph! :D This Pyle gets used just about every weekend. I've have never seen the Roost myself but I hear its intense. Its been a fun boat.

Here is my 1980 TX-19 Youngblood Gullwing.

Purchased it last winter. Did almost a complete restore in 4 months, just in time to get on the water for Memorial weekend this year. Stripped it to freshen it up and rerigged everything but intake and suction housing. Wet sanded and buffed entire boat. Repainted entire trailer with new bungs and carpet. Had everything powder coated after rigging. Went with candy red with silver flake base and all other pieces black for a 2 tone look. Redid interior custom to fit the boat and its use as a family river cruiser. Setup as a nice all around river boat. Fun to go fast in and still water ski and tube behind it. Assembled pump and setup. Rewired everything at the back of the boat and for engine and routed for a nice clean look. Replumbed everything and routed for a clean look as well. A lot of late nights and weekends to get it all done.

Thanks to all my friends and family for all the help and guidance to get it all done.

Has a 460 Ford 60 over. All ARP hardware. Has aluminum heads, forged flat top pistons, victor intake, full MSD setup, with custom Armondo"s pan and High Flow Dynamics oil pump. Has a healthy solid flat tappet cam with custom one piece push rods, pro mag roller rockers and stud girdle. Running mid 80's with close to 500 HP.

Running a Berkeley pump with all the goodies. Has Aggressor Bronze B impeller with billet stuffer. PD long droop with diverter and FTN. Has back cut shoe and ride plate with race loader. Manual diverter with short handle V-Drive T-handle setup.

Had the scoop custom painted a black pearl, then had it custom stripped. I like how it changes colors depending on how the light is hitting it. Then had the boat custom lettered and decided to name the boat Night Rider.

This is my first Gullwing and I am very happy with how it came out and how it performs on the water. I will always be working on it to make it better just like all of us Hot Boaters.

I do most of my boating on the Colorado River. In Big River mostly but do venture up and down river on occasions. Also hit up the lakes in Phoenix when not staying at the river.

1982 Cole Mini Cruiser

We are the original owners of this boat. My father, who was big into jet boats before I was born, solid his Haskell Jet Boat in 1983 to purchase this boat before I was born. He purchased it from Jim Cole off the showroom floor. The story was that the boat was built for Cole's wife originally, but then sold to my dad. Growing up, I spent a lot of time with my dad at Cole's shop in Chatsworth and feel lucky to have been around such a legend in the powerboat world. I am now 30 years old with 3 of my own children and since my father is no longer into boating, I am raising them on this boat.

Here is a link to a site that randomly has pictures of the boat when it was brand new:
http://www.girouxboats.com/MiniCruiser.asp

The boat was fully restored from top to bottom in 1997 and re painted and gel coated by Gary Baca. Interior has been re done and various items have been upgraded throughout the years (gauges, steering wheel, throttle, carpet). The boat is powered by the original 1982 Mercury Black Max Outboard, pushing 200 HP. The outboard was completely re built last year and is 100% turn key. Boat sits on the original Ellis Trailer which has been upgraded with a removable tongue for garage storage along with LED lighting all the way around.

My family and I love this boat and hope to enjoy it for years to come. Maybe one day my kids will be taking their kids out on it!!

This is pops toy But you see me playing with it most the time gotta luv being able to play with Dads toys lol. Its a 19 ft.Daytona that was found in a field that was a hull that sat for yrs that no one ever did any thing to it .When My dad got it all the wood in the complete boat had to be replaced . My dad and my best friend that is a custom car/boat builder that is one of the best painters you will find did all the body and painted it. The motor started out as a ford 460 board over 30 its a 12 to 1 motor with custom machined com pro heads that have been worked big time., pump has been moved back motor moved forward 12" . This boat was built for my Mom the way she wanted it. She was diagnosed with breast cancer which took her life 1.5 yrs later. The boat wasn't finished, but we kept going till it was done. The trailer is a competitive trailer. No money was spared on the build, best of all parts and custom brackets and hardware.

Vic, Wendi or William, this 25 post deal is killing me. I tried to drive traffic here but 25 post to keep cheaters from cheating has all my family and friends frustrated. I'm sure some of the others feel the same. My mobile goes off every 1/2 hour on this. Kinda of unfair for all of us with this 25 post rule. 25 post, isn't that kind of excessive? I cant imagine someone wanting to cheat that bad for this. Has it happened before?

Cave - I understand your frustration. But please understand in order for both of us to win, we need your help. Having someone sign up just to vote for a contestant doesn't really do anything for us. We want participation. We want people to sign up and stay involved with the site. Signing up then disappearing isn't what we want. I hope you understand and I apologize for the rule. If it's any consolation, in the next month or two, it will be a 50 post min to vote. Have them sign up, and participate. 25 posts really isn't that many. Thank you and good luck.

I hear ya. Most of my friends are boaters. Dont really know about HB or any other sites on boating. Their 1st impression is important. Many have voted for the winner from the last one and were discouraged a bit. Those are returning members. 5 post would have been more than plenty. If members are that desperate to win a cooler I feel for them. Im in this to show off my Pyle. I love this lifestyle. Parker, Big River, Yuma, all our local lakes. Thats more important than winning. I'm winning every weekend with my lake family.

Please don't go to 50. I believe that would be a serious step back. We got around 25 boats in my group of friends that want to participate in this deal. That would kill it for them. I personally don't have the same time to participate as much like I used to.

Thanks for creating this contest.

Hot Boat/Wendi, What is the purpose of this contest? It seems to be a hassle for you guys to admin so there must be a reason for you to continue the contest.

If the purpose is to help with active membership, 25 posts to vote is doing just the opposite. I know several boaters who tried to vote, registered and got told they need 25 posts to vote. I doubt they will be back.

If the purpose is to see more boat pictures, why do you need the contest. You are putting the contest on Facebook. Instead market the site on Facebook as a boat picture repository.

Why have a contest?

Hot Boat/Wendi, What is the purpose of this contest?

The purpose of this contest, bottom line, is to get people and keep people interested in the site. This is why WMC & Wendi give out a very nice AO cooler every month. It also lets the contestants show off their boats. Kinda cool being Hotboat of the month. So recognition for the contestant/boat, and recognition for hotboat.com. We do not charge to enter the contest, its absolutely, 100% free. Not much downside really. All we ask in return is that each participant vote for their boat once and 1x only. We want to keep it as fair as possible without being too intrusive.

Why have a contest?

Looks like you edited you post. So here's the deal. Facebook, IG, etc are all cool sites. And each has its purpose. Hotboat.com also has its purpose. So please do not confuse the two. Why have a contest? simple. So people can enter their boat, for free, and have the chance to win a pretty cool AO cooler. You don't have to enter your boat, its entirely up to you. The reason behind the 25 posts is to make the contest as fair as possible. As I've said a few times before, I would prefer people sign up and stay engaged in the site. Having someone create an ID for the purpose of voting only, does nothing for hotboat.com. I'm sure you can understand this is somewhat of a business. The costs and fees associated with keeping any site up an running isn't cheap. To make the site attractive for our advertisers, we need members and visitors. I hope this answers your questions. If not, please feel free to pm me and I will do my best to clarify. Thank you. HB

Here's the black and white. We wouldn't have a problem if some people would vote 1x not make up 50 users name under one IP address to win a cooler. Its a pain in the ass to have to check IP to see who did what.

1. Enter your boat
2. Vote 1x
3. Win a cooler

I believe there were almost 30 votes the first day when polls were not restricted. A lot of people voted that had less than 25. It was brought up and they could not change it. I believe it was said somewhere. That if you entered you can vote for your own boat no matter how many posts. Also if post count was at 25 when polls closed it would count for all other members that voted before they had 25. The numbers that are up are not the exact numbers. I do have a few that voted and did not have 25 posts. The win is not official yet.

I didn't even vote for anyone or my self. I was just sitting back watching all and when I saw the liberator boat with all those votes he had on the first day or second witch ever I knew right there that there would be no way at all to come close and im not saying there was any unfair stuff . Seem to me with the having to have 25 votes before voting you win by how long or how many people you know from the board already.Im not making any big deal out of it just sharing my 2 cents. I do shows with our boat been to the Sacramento autorama took 2nd place win, 2 first places- and this weekend im pulling her down to Susanville calif. for another auto boat show should be fun. It was fun watching this and im sure you guys will all figure out the best way hope you don't stop doing it because it it entertaining to watch and see some cool A$$ boats

Congrats Dustin! Your boat is a work of art!

454 blue boat., Once I found out we needed 25 post to vote I asked my friends to not even try. Believe me had this vote been like all the rest, this site may have earned 100 new members out of the 400+ that would have voted for me. No Bull shit. I wasn't about to ask friends to post up 25 times for this. I myself don't even know many of the members here other than the old school HB people I met back in the day. But I know allot of boaters. ;) Thats no boo shit. Ask Night Rider :)

Vic, Wendi and William, Thanks for the opportunity to share my Pyle with the site. It was fun to see my boat in this deal. Dustin's boat is a work of art. He really put some time into it. I'm glad he won... His boat has a ton of personal hours in it. We kept it in the Arizona Performance Boating Family Dustin! Way to go!

Like I said im not saying you did any thing wrong at all I was just pointing out the high number you had which is fine. On other boards im on I know so many people there that if there wouldn't of been the 25 post I my self too could of pulled a bunch of people here and out of those people dont you think that a lot of them would still & hang here. I know thats what I did coming here and now if you guys check your log ins you will see im here probably 5- 10 time a day checking the board and replying to some thing that im into and cant wait each time to see new stuff. And please again im not making anything out of this it don't matter to me just sharing my 2 cents by performance boats doing these cool things it will make people come here and join in and keep wanting to stay to see more or join in and they will tell others too

Here's the black and white. We wouldn't have a problem if some people would vote 1x not make up 50 users name under one IP address to win a cooler. Its a pain in the ass to have to check IP to see who did what.

1. Enter your boat
2. Vote 1x
3. Win a cooler

You know things have really gone to the dogs when people have to go to such lengths just to win a 'cooler' over another guy.... use to be people would just enter these "little things" to show off their boats, tell a story about it, and enjoy the 'sport' together and if you WIN... you just have bragging rights for a month... But it is really lowdown when some people try to "fix" things to their advantage... and that even goes so far as calling all your friends up to GO VOTE just for you! Members that are 'visiting' the page should look at all the boats entered and vote on the one they like as THEIR FAVORITE.... thats why its called a "Spectators Choice Award" basically.

You hotboat guys and gals bust your.... well everything for this site.... and it looks good and works good for MOST of us.... THANK YOU!
