Project Baja

I just bought this boat from a cow:cowdodo: she wanted it out of her pasture, So she talked to her farmer and he sold it to me. It is a 1982 Baja
20SS, and it is rough. I looked for a nice project with some freeboard for a while before I found this one. While I'm not a Baja fan per say this boat has some really cool lines, Berkley pump ( although it is an F pump ), and a decent amount of freeboard. I'm looking to make this a family lake boat hopefully running mid 60's. if anyone has any thoughts, comments, or experience with one of these boats please chime in. thanks C.W.

Right now I'm in the research and learning stage. It's getting real hard not to just start pulling it apart, but I'm learning a lot about what needs to be done ...... Stay tuned even though it may be a little slow with 70 hr work weeks.

Start slow and have a plan of attack and a deadline. To many people get ahead of themselves and guy the boat and don't have the budget or time to get it back together. And find a good local shop that will offer you advice or information about how and why to do certain repairs.
Have fun with it. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing something you built come together in the end.

The deadline part is what I need to work on lol
Guess I have one now that I have reservations for Labor day.

Thanks for the tips and advice ... Learning and collecting parts right now so when I start it will move along quickly .... Don't want to get stuck doing one part now and then and lose interest ..
