Thinking of changing it up a bit and taking the family to Riverland sometime in August as opposed to Laughlin as usual.
I do not have a RV/trailer and was looking at the Bungalow Suites? Reading through the posts, it sounds like some people may be familiar with this place.
Can anyone give me some input/reviews?

We are just looking for a new fun place to stay for a group of people aged 25-50....
All input is appreciated!

Great place to have a good time. But it's probably a ghost town this week 😁

Bungalows are just behind the big tree I believe but they also have others.

Thinking of going Labor Day weekend...
Bungalows 1-4 are available that weekend. Not on the water, but the lady I spoke with said there was a beach on the property to enjoy for times we are not out in the boat.

It really is a great place to stay. Launch ramp in the park. Gas on the dock. A nicely stocked store. Holiday weekends can exude oodles of fun and frolicking as there is usually a party somewhere in the park. Sometimes multiple parties. Club Riverland opens a few times a year and after it shuts down, Riverland Afterhours has been known to kick in. Other than that, it really is a nice place to stay.

I stay there almost exclusively, I like it a lot, just did a week in bungalow 1 during the 4th, I much prefer renting one of those to a trailer or the casino. Labor day I will either be in a bungalow or maybe free at my buddies place on D row, that's always nice when the couch is offered up.

In regards to the Bungalow, where is the beach area in relation to it...What I am getting at: the trailer sites in front all have water access but the bungalow are off the water, so is there a beach area that can be used by people that are not renting or bring a trailer?

They have a group of them by the store. There is a beach within 150' or so. They also have a couple others down the road a bit. Beach is further but there are a couple of beach areas the bungalow peeps can use.

Thanks everyone for the help and input.

Just made reservations for Aug 29-Sept 2nd Labor Day weekend bungalow 3 & 4.

On a side note, I was told it is pet friendly and was considering bringing my chocolate lab...
Any input on this? Do people usually brings their pets when they stay there? Not trying to be the odd person out bringing a dog when its my first time there lol

Might be your neighbor that weekend, dogs everywhere and there is bit of grass called the "dog park" about 100 feet from bungalow 4.

So I have a 19ft jet boat open bow...would it be safe to rent a slip for the weekend or is there too much of a risk of waking up to see the boat under water?
Just not sure if I should pull it out every night....
Thoughts???

I think the slips are free. But if I were you, I wouldn't park anything of value there. The water is nuts there not to mention the boats.

Thoughts??? I suggest you pull out every night. It is a very busy weekend and we have witnessed boats of your size sink on major holidays. Better to be safe then sorry.

I wouldnt recommend a slip on holiday weekends. Youll soon find out why they call it the washing machine lol. But if you really dont feel like pulling the boat out every night and trust your anchors and automatic bilge completely, moore right next to the ramp bow out with the ass end anchored to the beach. Ive done this with my bubbledeck and ive never had any problems with excessive water coming in.

Sounds as if I better pull it out at night.
Not too willing to trust the anchoring idea. Id rather be safe than sorry.

If your boat has less than 24" of freeboard at the transom when your anchored, I would pull it out.

Oh we are doing Pirates Den this weekend. We have too many people to partake in eating out Labor Day. We will usually boat down to the Cantina for drinks, but eating dinner out we pass. BBQ and parties at Riverland is how we roll.

To be 100% honest, I cant remember a place I have ever been to where everyone was so friendly and inviting. From the moment we got there the the minute we left we enjoyed out time. Everyone was friendly and made us feel VERY Welcome into their community.

Since we do not have a trailer or motor home, the Bungalows worked out perfect for us and we really liked the central location and would stay there again in a heart beat.

Great meeting you guys. Seems like the weekend blew by in a few hours. And just so you know, we don't usually party like that. Usually we're pretty well reserved, kinda quiet, don't drink much, and just like sitting around playing cards and chatting about current events.................................LOL

One question I do have: Does all the water in the mobile homes/trailers have a sulfer/egg smell or only in out bungalow? We brought bottled water with us so it wasnt a big deal in addition we are non complainers so we didnt even ask about it there.
Just thinking when we go again in the future bringing an extra case of water for coffee, teeth brushing etc...

Other than that, everything in the Bungalow was perfect!!!

So funny, I was telling my girl yesterday, it felt like one long day as apposed to a 4 day weekend. Felt like time just flew by and a few more days out there would have been good.

Yes. I'm guessing they did not remove the anodes from the waterheaters in the park models. Ours has little to no smell. But we still do not use that water for drinking or teeth brushing. I'm sure its ok for your teeth, but we don't use it.

Other than that, everything in the Bungalow was perfect!!! Yes the water is no good. They should be giving you free gallons of water when you go for drinking, teeth, boiling. We have a water machine in our house which works out great ad we pay for soft water which takes away the smell.

Other than that, everything in the Bungalow was perfect!!!The whole river has sulphur water, that's what makes the rotten egg smell. We need to get a water softener at our trailer too. We always take cases of water for coffee, cooking and brushing teeth. If you brush with the tap water or cook with it, the sulphur will loosen your bowels and give you BUTTPISS
