424it's a 1955 with a 5.0 out of a lincoln that's had some machine work done, with a offenhauser intake manifold, carter carb, Mallory ignition, timing gear, other than that nothing much, it was just built to be a driver, this is what it looked like after I brought it home and washed it, found it in a barn and gave $700 for it, it also had a Chevy 283 motor
ok I've tried 6 times to post the pix and all I get is a red x

2711It's been a father son project with my dad and it's been about 12 years. 350 chevy. 4L60 tranny, 9 inch Ford, Four wheel discs. Heidts independent front end. Filled roof. I tried to stay all steel, but ended up with glass rear fenders and a glass rear deck lid. My dads 79 and he's had about 5 strokes in these 12 years but he keeps tickin. The time spent with him has been priceless. Here's a little closer shot of the car and him.

Cal speedway took delivery of it's sound wall steel. When the wall is finished NHRA street legal drag racing will proceed next year. I'm planning on making some passes, who's in?

Alston front half, 3-link rear with mini tub, 9-inch, 700 lockup trans, small block, full cage, plus a lot more. Runs descent for a pro-tour deal.

Wow that's nice!! What's powering it? I'd love to have an overdrive trans or a gear vendors, but my car is a real ss so I'm a little reluctant to go there.

I'm running a stock 360 horse 396 with a John Avery tune up. The car has a turbo 400 with 3.73 gears and stock converter. With street tires I'll be lucky to hit mid 13's. In the future I'll be upgrading my powertrain by a couple hundred horsepower.

WESTERNAERO

It has a pretty stout 327. Runs surprisingly well for a small cubic inch motor. I used to run it DOT's and it pulled pretty hard for a street deal but now with the radials it just turns the tire all the time, with every shift. The suspension is set up so nice though, it never gets outta shape and just runs straight tire smoke and all.
Don't mind the dirty engine, haven't polished this thing in a while.

No heater required, It's a hard top, windows are down, always.:action-smiley-035:
It's actually a factory air car, when I first bought it it would get ice on the keys dangling in front of the vents. Amazed me how cold it blew.

I've used my heater maybe twice since 2005, but for some reason I've always felt the heater was a necessity. And my factory AC is all hooked up and in tact (but not working) and I never seem to find the time to mess with it. :D

My hot rod. Drive it daily. Very very mild 350. Passes smog mild. That is when I put a few parts back on it. Lol. It'll roast the tires though. Built 700r4 trans and a built rear with 373's and a Detroit tru trac posi. Fun truck but needs about another 100hp.

I kinda got a lot on my plate right now so remembering that wasn't gonna happen. Lol. I'd like to go run the truck down the track sometime though. If you're running mid 14's with a big block I'm not too confident about what the truck will do. I'm guessing it'll run well in the 1/8 mile but fall on its face on the big end. With my cam and heads she runs out of steam fast.

Don't gage your expectations based on my pile. I'm running a stock long block and even with it running right- 13's might be a tall order (for now). :bangmyhead:
