As I do every year after Havasu's Desert Storm I hurry home so I can be on the water on Friday and Saturday for the Tickfaw 200, this year was no different:action-smiley-047: Awesome time as always, weather was crappy on Friday, temps in the 50's but Saturday turned out beautiful, mid 70's water wasn't very cold, had a nice 180mile run

Nice photos Jeff:

You did a really nice job of posting photos.

The Tickfaw is on our list for next year. I heard this year the weather was not cooperating rainy and down right cold for the Bayou!

I sure hope it's sunny and warm next year we are fixing to come out for about 9 days.

There sure were a lot of the Texas peeps from Kemah and Seabrook attending so we would definitely know a few people.

Friday sucked, but Saturday was absolutely gorgeous, Pontchartrain got a little rough in the evening but nothing the Doug Wright can't handle...:secret: Here is a little video of us running across Lake Maurepas to Blind river bar for the first card, lake was smooth as glass except for the big rollers that I got to while running 130 in the middle of the lake from a cruiser...:yikes:

Next year girl, I can arrange it so it won't cost you any out of pocket, set up the Hotboat.com booth, get the site out in the South, and sell a ass load of "Swag", lol plus you won't have the cops called on ya down here, most of the poker run goes too the police department, and other agencies in the community lol

Charlie was an awesome man, azz hole to ones that deserved it, but heart of gold, BTW the pictures of the boat in the woods, thats Charlies old cigarette that he ran to Cancun Mexico not once but twice setting two records, Charlie left his marina to Joey, and the boat to his Friend Eddie, well Eddie left out Friday night around 2:30 feeling no pain, there is a curve that is a U turn called dead mans curve, well after he plowed through the dock on the other side of the curve it parked the boat in the woods, a lot of people are disgusted with the incident Joey told them just to leave the damn thing in the woods, so after all the swamp rats get what they want off of it, I would say the boat is done, very sad, I know Charlie is pissed off about it...

Kap, when ya come down I have 4 dvd's that were given to me and some of Charlies other close friends that have some awesome footage from over the years, he was one loved, and crazy cajun that will forever be missed:cry2:

Yea I just talked to Casey, he said they got the boat out, but it was toasted, all the gauges had been stolen, stereo wasn't under water, and front speakers all gone, bottom is trashed and side, the end of a legends boat, so sad, Casey has been trying to buy the boat from the guy who wrecked it for 3 years, damn shame...
