If you're in the market for a new or used boat, or boating accessories, you might want to try Boating Demo Days (a new event), May 18-19 at Lake Elsinore (La Laguna Resort and Boat Launch on Riverside Drive). Boats in-water for demos (about 25) plus lots more on-land. Most of the major SoCal boat dealers and many of the boat manufacturers will be on-hand. If you haven't been to the new La Laguna boat launch, it's worth a visit -- the most modern boat launch in SoCal with over 600-feet of courtesy docks. BOATING DEMO DAYS COMING TO LAKE ELSINORE, MAY 18-19
Boats on-land and in-water, ready for test rides….experience boating on-the-water, first-hand
Lake Elsinore, CA: Spring is here and thousands of southland boaters are preparing to take to the water to enjoy their favorite recreational activity….boating. On Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19, the anticipation becomes reality at the inaugural Boating Demo Days event open to the general public at La Laguna Resort and Boat Launch in Lake Elsinore. What sets Boating Demo Days apart from other more conventional boat shows is the fact that more than twenty boats of various size, type and description will be dockside available for demo rides.
Event organizer, Bob Brown commented, “There’s nothing as good as a test ride to know that you’ve made the right choice in a new boat, and Lake Elsinore’s new La Laguna Resort and Boat Launch is the perfect place to do it. Besides boats in-water for demos, there will also be a generous assortment of boats, new and used, on land in addition to a host of popular marine accessory and services vendors. Whether you’re a boater now or hope to be one in the future, Boating Demo Days is exactly the right environment and opportunity to find out more about the sport and perhaps make that purchase you’ve always wanted.”
Boating Demo Days opens to the public at 10:00am on both Saturday and Sunday, May 18-19. Admission is only $5.00 for an adult, children 6 to 10 just $3.00 each and kids 5 and under are free. Convenient on-site parking is available for $5.00. La Laguna Resort and Boat Launch is located at 32040 Riverside Drive, Lake Elsinore 92530, just minutes off Interstate 15 using the Lake Street or Central Avenue exits. Food and beverage concessions are on-site and a beer garden.
“This is a unique opportunity for the general public to enjoy a day on the water and find out what boating is all about, “ said Brown. “It’s been nearly a decade since a genuine ‘boating demo’ event has been offered in Southern California. The time seems right to get people back out on the water in time for summer vacations.”
One of the highlights of Boating Demo Days will be the debut and demonstration of several of the latest models of the “Water Car”, a Southern California designed and manufactured amphibious vehicle capable of speeds of up to 50 mph on water and over 100 mph on the highway.
