Not sure where you are located but most malls have those cell phone kiosks... They all know someone who can fix it.

Dropped it in the sidewalk and landed on the corner and cracked the screen

Pain in the ass to fix. The mini connecter has to be soldered back in. IPAD 1,2,3 piece of cake.
