Looks like hotboat.com will be investing in a drone. Question is, which one?

Since a 1080 camera will more than likely cost as much if not more than the drone, chances are we'll go with one that can handle a 1080p camera but use a gopro for now until I hit a jackpot at a casino LOL.

Some of these boys look super pricey like the Draganflyer X6, but i've seen a couple that look pretty similar that are around 1/2 the price.

Anyone have any experience with these? Chances are it will be used soley for footage for the site.

Thank you,
HB

I have one to pry into my neighbors window.

I think using a GoPro will be sufficient in anything that you do. If you look at a lot of reality shows, they now use GoPros over many larger HD cameras. Even on the Red Carpet for the Grammys they now have GoPros hanging off the Booms for footage to be processed later on.

The H copter lends itself better to GoPro use. Right about $1000 for batteries, controller, frame and motors. The benefit of the H design is that the rotors won't effect the field of view of the camera. Learning to fly them is an entirely different story.
